The fifth issue of Monsterama opens with Frankenstein's creature selling papers from a kiosk window, and that sets the theme: a tribute to the street newsstand and the cluttered racks of tacky souvenirs, monster magazines and bootleg toys it once held. Inside, editor Allan Graves pairs classic horror imagery with new work from contemporary artists worldwide across 100 black and white pages.
As in earlier issues, the pages are arranged as themed collages, here devil dogs, snakes and serpent creatures, fire demons, vampires and Draculas. Graves, a UK-based artist, self-publishes the zine, and each issue reads like a scrapbook of horror ephemera.
