CONTENT Tattoo Flash and History

Pops owned a tattoo shop and museum in North Carolina; after he died in 2017, his wife compiled these volumes to commemorate his tattoo life, as well as the lives and art of his friends and other artists who influenced him. These collections contain various items such as business cards, stencils and rubbings, tracings, and photographs.

In addition, there are collections from The Museum of American Tattooing. August "Cap" Coleman, Rex and Brenda Bennett, Bert Grimm, Bob Shaw, Charles Wagner, Walter Cleveland, and Mary Anne Smith are featured in Vol. 1.

Vol. 2 includes artists such as Fred Marquand, Jack Rudy, Chicago Tattoo Supply House, Doc Webb, Earl Brown, Ed Hardy, Ed Horton, Lee Roy Minugh, Lyle Tuttle, Mike Malone, Owen Jensen, Paul Rogers, Percy Waters, Sailor Jerry, Mary Anne Smith, and more.
