Teaserama is Allan Graves' sister zine to Monsterama. Where Monsterama digs through vintage horror, Teaserama turns to sex and sensuality, leaning into the sleazier side of vintage print: gritty 1970s and 80s films, cheap men's magazines and the kind of posters that once hung outside the old 42nd Street cinemas.
Issue #1 fills 78 black and white pages with pin-ups, burlesque dancers, cowgirls, catwomen and bikini-clad models, laid out in the same dense collage style as his horror zines. It is playful rather than explicit, and full of poses, hairstyles and costume details that are hard to find gathered in one place.
Tattooers will find plenty of pin-up and girl reference here, and collectors of vintage ephemera and grindhouse culture will enjoy it on its own terms. Fans of the horror side can pick up Monsterama #1.
