CONTENTHigh Quality Scans of Flash
This limited set reproduces Pinky Yun's tattoo flash on eight loose 18" x 24" sheets, printed from high-quality scans of the originals. It was produced alongside the release of Tattoo Master Pinky Yun: The Don Ed Hardy Collection, which drew on Ed Hardy's holdings of Pinky's work.
Pinky Yun, also known as Bing Kuan, was born in Shanghai in 1927 and learned to tattoo by hand. After 1949 he worked in Hong Kong, Kowloon, Macao and Taiwan, tattooed in Japan during the Korean War, and in 1972 opened a shop in Alameda, California, later moving to San Jose. His flash blends Chinese subject matter with the bold, readable approach of a working street shop.
Full-size loose sheets are made to be hung, framed or kept flat in a flash rack. A good fit for shop walls and for collectors of Asian and American traditional flash. See also Pinky Yun - Across the Pacific.
