CONTENTVintage Logos, Labels, and more!
Commerce & Industry Volume Two belongs to Billy Bishop's series collecting twentieth-century trademarks, labels, and printed ephemera. This 80-page softcover focuses on weird clip art, castles and kings, coats of arms, shields, devils, witches, and imps.
The images are reproduced in black and white and grouped by theme, so it's quick to find a crest, a little devil, or a heraldic shape when you need one. Subjects range from formal heraldry to odd, cartoonish figures that read well at small sizes. Tattooers use the series for emblem and character reference; designers and collage artists use it the same way.
The first 350 prints were issued with limited edition covers, hand-numbered by Bishop. Pair it with the other volumes if you're building a full shelf of vintage logo reference. Each volume covers different subjects, so there's little overlap between them.
