Chimera - (in Greek mythology) a fire-breathing female monster with a lion's head, a goat's body, and a serpent's tail.
In humans, a chimera is a person who has cells from two different sources. In this book, Aaron Coleman gives us a glimpse into his journey with leukemia, from diagnosis to remission and beyond. Intertwined with his journal entries are paintings and photographs documenting the progress. The paintings, which as he recounts helped him keep his sanity through the ordeal, can often be a mirror to the feelings expressed in his writing.
