Patriotic & Military Tattoo Designs Vol. 2 collects Sailor Jerry Collins' line drawings on the subjects that defined tattooing in wartime Honolulu. First printed in 1994, it was issued by Mike Malone, who bought Sailor Jerry's shop after Collins died in 1973 and ran it as China Sea Tattoo. This is the first reprint since that original printing and Malone's death.
Inside are more than 30 pages of outlines: bulldogs, roses, nautical rope knots, daggers, ships and the patriotic and service imagery that sailors and soldiers wore home. Because they're line drawings, they work as Sailor Jerry flash you can stencil directly or redraw in your own hand.
The 8.5" x 11" spiral binding lies flat on a light table, and the screen-printed cover matches the other reissued sketchbooks in this series. It belongs in any shop that tattoos American traditional and on the shelf of anyone collecting Sailor Jerry material.
