The Good Book Vol. I, edited by Dan Smith and Shaun Topper, is a pocket-size reference of more than 2,500 tattoo line drawings. The images are sorted into 25 classic tattoo subjects, with over 100 drawings in each chapter: girls, hands, horseshoes, tigers, skulls, ships, and more.
Instead of one artist's take on a subject, you get dozens of interpretations side by side. Contributions come from more than 100 tattooers, so each chapter works as a quick survey of how different hands approach the same classic design, from the way a horseshoe is framed to how a tiger's head is built.
At 5" x 7" and 258 pages, it fits on a station or in a bag. Tattooers can use it for drawing reference and tattoo outlines; collectors will enjoy flipping through the range of styles. The flip-through video above shows the layout.
