CONTENTLine Drawings
Satori is a tattoo sketchbook from Erik van Cuyck, collecting 100 pages of his line drawings in a square 8.5" x 8.5" softcover. It reads like a look over his shoulder at the drawing table, mixing Japanese subject matter with traditional tattoo imagery.
Inside you'll find tigers, masks, foo dogs, dragons, skeletons, crabs, flowers, and other animals, drawn as clean linework without color. Because the pages are uncluttered, they're easy to study for composition and flow, and useful when you're working out your own take on a classic subject. Treat it as a study companion as much as a source of finished designs.
A good fit for tattooers building a Japanese and traditional reference shelf, and for collectors who follow Erik van Cuyck's work and want to see the drawings behind it. The flat-lay photos above show a sample of the pages.
