CONTENTLine Drawings
Beauties & Beasts Vol. II does what the title promises. Norberto Gonzáles fills 112 pages with bold, solid traditional line drawings of girl heads and animal heads, with flowers, religious figures, daggers and assorted other subjects mixed in.
These are clean tattoo outlines with nothing extra: lady heads and mermaids, panthers wrapped in snakes, bat heads and more, each drawn with the weight and simplicity that lets a traditional tattoo read from across the room. Because the drawings are pure line work, they are quick to trace, resize and adapt, and they make it easy to see how Gonzáles handles proportion and line weight before any color or shading goes in.
A compact hardcover for traditional tattooers who want a steady supply of usable designs, and a good companion to any flash book with color references.
