Monsterama #4 digs into the monsters and movies of the 1970s and 80s. Allan Graves, the UK-based artist who edits and self-publishes the zine, fills 100 black and white pages with vintage horror graphics mixed with new art from contemporary artists around the world, and this issue leans harder into gore than the ones before it.
Pages are built as themed collages in the Crap Hound tradition: Phantom of the Opera stills, crocodile and gator monsters, robots and Terminator arms, mummies, cannibals, bugs, demon cops and axe-wielding maniacs. Each spread gives you a pile of variations on one subject.
Tattooers use Monsterama as horror art reference for creature designs, B-movie lettering and odd vintage poses when drawing up Halloween or horror flash. Horror fans and zine collectors will want it alongside issues #3 and #5. The content is graphic and meant for adults.
